Save even more space in your garden by growing your apricot as an espalier on a south facing wall or fence.

• Plant in full sun, away from cold winds.
• Although frost-tolerant, it is still best practice to protect the blossom with fleece.
• When fruit appears, it may need thinning. Remove poorly placed, small or misshapen fruits when they are about the width of your little fingernail. Aiming to have a piece of fruit every 15cm or so.
• Water container-grown trees almost every day during the growing season and give them a high potash liquid feed every couple of weeks.
• Avoid excessive or irregular watering when fruit is ripening to prevent the skin from splitting.
• Prune in early spring, just before growth starts, removing unwanted or damaged branches.

If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
