Product Information

Take yourself to the shores of the Mediterranean with this classic Olive Tree. A bona fide gardening marvel, yet deeply traditional, receive yours already at least 2m tall, and ready to make an instant impression on your garden!

Incredibly attractive silvery grey evergreen foliage caps off an elegant and distinct trunk, forming an idyllic feature piece of the garden – thriving in a pot, while looking exceptional in a border.

Witness a scattering of dainty creamy flowers across the tree to mark spring, with the possibility of small olive fruits emerging when summer conditions allow for plenty of time to ripen, when it is particularly hot and dry.

Low maintenance, easy to grow, and a variety that certainly behaves itself, there are so many advantages to this Olive Tree, which is even perfect for smaller garden spaces, or busy gardeners with little time on their hands.

Despite their Mediterranean heritage, Olive Trees are surprisingly tough and will withstand winter conditions down to -8C. Although, it's best if you can protect it a little in winter! They simply love hot and sunny spots, thriving in free-draining soil conditions.

Supplied as an established tree in a 50L pot, already 200-225cm tall, ready to plant.

Top Tips

This Olive Tree needs the sunniest spot available in your garden to encourage a fruit crop.

Care Information

  • If planting in a container, use a loam-based compost with the addition of about 20 per cent grit to help with drainage. If planting in the garden, add grit to the planting hole to improve drainage.
  • Pot-grown plants should be transferred to a slightly larger pot each spring.
  • Olive Trees are hardy but they benefit from winter protection. Small potted plants can be moved inside, while outside plants can be bubble-wrapped around the pot and fleece used to protect the canopy.
  • Although drought tolerant, pot-grown olives must be watered regularly and not be allowed to dry out.
  • Clip trees occasionally to keep their shape.
