The benefits of growing and caring for houseplants are well-documented, helping to cleanse the air of the home by filtering out unwanted pollutants and toxins, while also bringing a decorative slice of nature to the mantlepiece, coffee table, or shelf. Plus, these are shown to be fine to grow around dogs and cats.
We have brought together three ever-popular varieties to start your indoor growing collection or to complement those already dotted around your home.
Supplied as a set of three established houseplants in 12cm nursery pots, ready to plant and display. Please note, the pictured decorative pots are illustrative and not included.
You will receive one each of:
- Boston Fern - Also known as Nephrolepis exaltata 'Green Moment', this is an evergreen houseplant with graceful, arching fronds. See less browning or die back across the seasons, as compared to other indoor ferns. The Boston Fern loves a humid atmosphere, so will thrive in a bathroom or kitchen.
- Variegated Spider Plant - Also known as Chlorophytum comosum, the Spider Plant is a classic and instantly recognisable houseplant. Even ideal for beginners, with long, arching variegated foliage that seems to almost drip from the sides of whatever basket or pot it is housed in. A proud holder of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
- Fishbone Prayer Plant - Also known as Ctenanthe burle-marxii, the attractive oval leaves boast a fishbone-pattern in two-tone grey to green, with rich maroon undersides. Keep an eye on the leaves as they close upwards when light levels fall at night, as if in prayer - hence the name!
Top Tips
Place your houseplants in bright spots away from direct sunlight. Mist leaves regularly and wipe occasionally to remove dust and restore a glossy sheen.
Care Information
- These houseplants are best grown in indirect sunlight in an average room temperature - avoid large temperature fluctuations where possible.
- Water regularly and allow the soil to dry a bit between each watering.
- Feed once a month with a general-purpose liquid houseplant feed, following packet guidance and avoiding exceeding the recommended amount.
- Mist leaves to maintain humidity. Clean leaves regularly with a damp cloth.
- Do not place in direct sunlight, as this will scorch and yellow the leaves.
Delivery Information
Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.
Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.
We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.
Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
